This week and past weekend has been crazy.

I finally spoke at the NAMI NOVA Walk:

"I got involved with nami shortly after i was dually diagnosed with bipolar disorder as well as alcoholism about 5 years ago since then i got into solid recovery and I have been doing really well for the past 3-4 years.

My mother found Nami soon after I was diagnosed became a volunteer and then quickly president of the Nami Chapter.

I started to volunteer and took Peer to peer then In our own voice. Soon I became a mentor for Peer to Peer and started telling my story to family members, mental health professionals, and helped start a young adults nami group.

Now i control my illness rather than let it control me.

There is so much hope with the help of nami.

we have a new course called young adults peer to peer starting wednesday september 26th. if you’re interested come see me at the registration table and ill tell you all about it. I thank you so much for being here from the bottom of my heart."

Also I ran into some old fairfax friends that night. Which was awesome.

Now to the good stuff. I went out to karaoke with few frriends two days ago and I got to catch up with my friend jhoanna from gradeschool. It turns out she is still her bubbly happy friendly self. She said she has been in fairfax all her life and got into social work helping kids who had been victims of sexual abuse. I quickly told her about my experience @ gulfstream goodwill. Then it was time for us to sing, me first, so i got up there and didnt to bad. I sang ontop of the gutiar solos, which was my fav. part. Then jhoanna and friends came on and sang "hey your a crazy bitch but you fuck so good im on top of it." I was headbanging which subsequently my neck hurts. Then when she was getting off the stage i put an arm around her and told her tienes una hermosa bos. (you have a beautiful voice); She was shocked and happy for the clompliment/fact that i spoke spanish. Then we went to a friends home where I started a fire we got smores and then took a picture in from of the fire and jhoanna gave me a kiss on the cheek. Then later that night I went to give her a kiss, her friends were watching so i didnt want to make it akward, so i was about to kiss her on the head and then they were like "boooo" so i leaned in and she gave me a kiss! YEAH!
